- Do not pay attention to the watered-downed, modernized, "revised" manual of indulgences. The Vatican 2 church has been trying to do away with the Raccolta to appease the sentiments of the protestants who designed that awful council and have been keeping one of the greatest treasures of the Church away from the truly faithful (when was the last time you heard your confessor speak to you of Indulgences, hmm?). And I was quite annoyed when one stated to me after having received the Raccolta, "Oh, haven't you heard? There's no such thing as Purgatory anymore"! By what authority! Where did this terribly misguided individual hear such an absurd statement?!... from the men occupying the Vatican, straight from the top, that's where! Let me tell you that an established truth does not change just because the influences of time does. Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, the Sacraments, the Saints and the Martyrs... they do not and cannot change! Hence when going through the Raccolta one should be careful not to observe the "new rules" regarding Indulgences (not to worry, this book will tell you exactly how Indulgences (which can neither be sold nor bought) may be obtained. Now the English translation of the Raccolta was published in 1957 by the request of Francis Cardinal Spellman of New York under the Supreme Authority of Pope Pius XII, ex cathedra! The book itself is beautifully hardbound with sewn (not glued) pages. Within are literally thousands of prayers and acts of faith, all easily obtainable, set in a very easy to read typeset. There is no table of contents but turn to the back of the book and you will find the index. Even if you are not seeking out an Indulgence for yourself or a loved one, it is an excellent prayerbook of the highest order. You will not find the Raccolta in your parish bookstore. It is a timeless treasure that has no respect for the machinations of men.
- I had been curious about the Raccolta for several years and finally decided to order it. I wasn't disappointed. It has so many beautiful prayers I haven't found elsewhere, the format is really good and the size of the font is perfect for me. ( I don't have vision problems but I still prefer a readable font.) The sections are each very thorough, and there are many prayers to saints that I have never heard of. ( I always enjoy meeting more saints. Any friend of God is a friend of mine.)
- Very easy to look for specific wants...very well indexed.
This book takes you back to the reverence of the Church before the “me first, not God†feeling of Vatican II.

Very pleased with it. - The LAST authoritative Raccolta. This is the source of indulgences for the few remaining Catholics who hold to Tradition.
- Some of these prayers I only remember as bits and pieces from my childhood.
The collection runs the course from everyday personal devotions, to novena prayers, to prayers for Benediction and to pray at Mass. I am glad that I ran across this item. It is a treasured book of prayers and is fast becoming an important part of my personal devotions and meditations.
If you are searching for a single collection of Catholic prayers and devotions (indulgenced) this is the prayerbook to obtain.
Superb hardcover and using fine paper stock. - This is THE book on gaining plenary and partial indulgences. Must have for every traditional Catholic home.
- This is a great resource book for the Catholic faith. I am very impressed with this book. If you want to learn about indulgences and prayer, this is worth every cent.
- I am so glad Loreto Press is reprinting some of the great classic books from Catholic history. This 1957 gem is most excellently typeset according to the original, very well bound, and a fantastic resource to have in my theological library.

I really enjoyed Red Queen and couldn't put it down. Glass Sword was great as well, despite being a lot slower during the second half. I really wanted to love King's Cage, since I have already invested so much in the series and in the Mare-Cal relationship. Unfortunately, many parts of King's Cage just completely fell flat and bogged the whole story down.
I felt no connection whatsoever to the chapters told from Cameron's perspective. I didn't care for her in Glass Sword, and liked her even less in this. I get that the author was giving us a peek into what the Red Guard was up to while Mare was being held prisoner, but I think Cal or Kilorn's perspectives would have carried more weight or interest. Evangeline's chapters were more interesting, but even they were not necessary and just felt like filler. With the exception of Mare's one failed escape attempt, the first 300 pages were almost painfully slow. The story didn't start to get exciting until Maven's wedding and Mare's rescue.
The last chapter and the epilogue seemed to erase all the character development that Cal made throughout the series. I have loved him since the moment he came into Mare's life and called her a thief, and he progressively got even better throughout King's Cage UNTIL that annoying ending painted him as a liar (since he had previously said he loved and wanted Mare more than ANYTHING). It doesn't make sense to me. He has risked his life how many times to save her, and then doesn't choose her when offered his crown/Evangeline vs Mare? I have a sinking feeling the 4th book is going to end with Mare either dead or alone, like so many book series seem to be doing these days. I especially feel this way because in Glass Sword, Jon mentioned that he foresaw Mare alone. I will be reading reviews on Amazon for spoilers after the 4th book is released next year because if she or Cal die, or don't end up together, I will not bother buying the book or wasting any more of my time on this series."

- Where to start? I loved Red Queen, didn't care for Glass Sword at all, and just as I began King's Cage, which I thought was the final book, I found out there will be a book 4. And now I know why Glass Sword was so bad. Obviously she was asked to drag her 3 book series into 4 books. Kings Cage is much better than Glass Sword, but they would have been better as one great book, with all the filler taken out. So much of Glass Sword was filler and didn’t advance the story or make it better. But I digress, this is a review of King’s Cage. After finishing the book, I am honestly sad. I am trying to think about how Book 4 is going to go and at this point, I have no idea. I am hoping for some kind of happy ending for Mare, but after this book, I’m not sure that’s in the cards for her, and again, that makes me sad. The really good thing about this book is I like Mare again. I didn’t like her much after Glass Sword, but now I really care about her again. As far as our other leads, it's hard to like Maven, yes, he can be charming, but he's a psychopath, and even when we start to understand the reason, what was done to him, it doesn’t matter, he’s still evil. Cal can't make up his mind to save his life. It’s frustrating. How can you be in love with someone who’s people are being persecuted and wronged, but still manage to sympathize with the persecutors? To me he's almost worse than Maven, who at least is honest about the monster he is. With Cal, because he’s a good person, you expect him to do the right thing, and he doesn’t always do it. Evangeline...what can I say about her...she's still a bitch, but I like her now, which is something I never thought I'd say. And then there's Mare. My heart breaks for all the suffering she has to endure. Can we please give this girl a happy ending in Book 4? She’s so strong, even when they weaken her, she keeps mentally strong, and later she turns into a real fighter, and I am rooting for her all the way, she deserves a win. There are a few interesting new characters that will probably play a larger role in Book 4. I didn’t like the author’s choice to use Cameron as a point of view, I had to go back to Glass Sword to remember who she was. I would have preferred point of views from Cal, or Farley instead of her. The book was entertaining, if a little too long in some areas, it held my attention the entire way through, picking up and getting better as it went along. And that ending. The author took us to the top of the cliff, and left us there hanging. If a book ends on such a cliffhanger, we shouldn’t have to wait longer than 6 months for the next one. Really. Can that be a rule? All, in all, this book redeemed the series for me. Mare is back, more like the Mare from Red Queen, but stronger, and that’s a good thing.

- Sherelle has this uncanny ability to write stories that rope the readers in from the very 1st line. Single AF is no exception.
I found myself laughing out loud by the antics of Meeka. She and Tone had so much chemistry, it was bound to combust! This is definitely a page-turner. One of those books that you can't stop reading, but get sad when it ends. - Meeka comes up with an idea for a series for her job at a YouTube channel and her boss wants her to be the first experiment. Since Meeka is not dating anyone presently and her dating history is a mess, her assignment entails her chronicling her past dating history. Tone is the cameraman that is going to film the assignment since the other experienced cameraman at the station is not available plus he is curious about the men in Meeka's past. There was always an underlying attraction between the two that comes to a head during this assignment. This book had so many hilarious parts that had me laughing hysterically. I loved the way Ms. Greene told this story even revealing some surprises that kept this story interesting.
- Sherelle Green's Single AF was witty and sexy AF!
From the first line, this short read pulls you in and takes you on a hysterical rollercoaster ride to love with Meeka and Tone. They clash from their first meet, in the best way, and the pages fly by.
I cannot remember the last time I laughed so much.
I already have the next Sherelle Green book downloaded and on-deck.
Great read. - Meeka is all of us who have had horrible awful dates and relationships. Tone is once burned twice shy. Together these two must solve the puzzle of Meeka’s past to have a future as one. The exes are hilarious and the shenanigans are hysterical. I highly recommend you visit the Social Experiment network!
- The opening scene for this book was so hilarious and so tragic, I couldn’t stop reading. It was like a car accident and I was a rubberneck motorist. Meeka was a lot! Her rhymes had me crying but wanting more. There is definitely someone for everyone and Tone was meant for Meeka.
- I loved this book. Meeka was so down to earth and crazy funny. Following her journey of ex relationships was epic and then to add Tone in the mix was so great. Tone and Meeka had so much chemistry everyone felt it. Great book Sherelle.
- Page 1 had me gripping my pearls and not even sure this was the book for me but 3 hrs later I was sad to see it end. Love and laughter with some great surprises.

- As an SLP graduate student (soon to be working in the schools full time after graduation!!) this book has been invaluable!! There are multiple suggestions on how to elicit all the English language sounds including vowels! I highly recommend to anyone who will be working with articulation kids!
- This book has been really helpful as a young SLP in graduate school. It’s clear in its explanation and there are pictures that help. Of course, there are many different ways to prompt for sounds but this book includes multiple ideas for sounds and examples of how to make a verbal comparison for an older child.
- I bought this book thinking it would have some "down to earth" recommendations and suggestions for correcting sounds. It ended up that there was too much narration of how sounds are produced, information that SLPs should already know.
- Great got-to for quick reference techniques when eliciting sounds. A must for new SLPs.
- Good book that I can use in my daily practice as well.
- Great resource. This will fill in the holes in "how to" for articulation that they don't teach you in grad school. You will use it all the time your first year, and will continue to refer to it for many years after that. Highly recommend!

I began Girl with Sharp Sticks after a book that I died for. And beginning this book most likely altered how I feel about it.
I didn't connect to Philomena, the plot, or the setting. It took me a while to begin the story, and I had to restart two times. I couldn't focus on the beginning, and I read pretty far.
The biggest problem I had was the topics that were discussed within the story. I can handle certain things, but abuse is hard for me to take. And because this story mentions in, along with sexism, I think that is the main problem of why I couldn't connect. The ending was compelling, regardless if there's a cliffhanger.
As I said before, I am in the minority. The premise is wonderful, filled with classic Suzanne Young magic. Give Girls with Sharp Sticks a try, because you will have a different opinion than I will.

- Since coming across The Program in 2013 I have been a fan of Suzanne Young and her books. There is something about the way she tells a story that sucked me in from the get go. I swear every time I need a new book by her I don’t think she can write any better than she has and yet she constantly proves me wrong. But I can confidentially tell you that Girls with Sharp Sticks is 100% her most brilliant masterpiece yet. When I tell you that I loved this book, I mean it more than I can accurately explain. It is just such a memorable reading experience you truly won’t be able to find the words to describe your feelings.
Girls with Sharp Sticks is about Mena, a girl that goes to a school where she is taught how to be the ‘perfect woman’. The girls are told how to dress, how to act, and how to behave in order to please the men in their lives. They are conditioned to behave and be ‘proper’ and to obey. But when strange things start happening Mena starts noticing how unusual the school is and how sheltered the girls actually are. With the help of a new friend from outside the school walls, Mena opens her eyes and sees what’s really going on at Innovations Academy and she isn’t going to let it continue. When all the girls ban together the men of Innovations learn what the tag line says Some of the prettiest flowers have the sharpest thorns.
This book was hardcore! And epic! And amazing! And fantastic! And any other adjective you can think of to describe such an unexpectedly powerful book. I was completely creeped out and disgusted reading it. These men were so vile and gross and 100% taking advantage of these girls to suit their needs. I swear I wanted to punch them all in the face so many times. But these girls, Mena, Sydney, Annaliese, Marcella, Brynn and Valentine (not a name a few), were actually what these men feared. These women together held all the power. They were the ones that were able to stand up for themselves and say ‘no, enough is enough’, and I loved every minute of it.
I want to say so much about this story. I want to tell you every detail and small thing I loved. But I refuse to ruin this experience. I strongly feel this is a book that everyone should read and will love. It is so unexpected and brilliantly done. I really can’t say any more than that. If you have trusted my book judgement in the past then trust it now. I swear it is worth it!

And best of all, if you know Suzanne's writing, you know this book will be full of TWISTS. GIRLS does not disappoint. There are a few awesome shout outs to her PROGRAM series that make you have a nostalgia for Young's New York Times bestselling (and groundbreaking) series about mental illness, but it's still entirely original. One of the standout YA novels of the year - and it's only March. Can't recommend this enough. Give a copy to all of the GIRLS (and guys) in your life!
- I haven’t read any of her previous books so I can’t say if this book is similar in a way that’s predictable bc to me it wasn’t . It was thought provoking. It felt right. I read it as fast as I could never stopping from page one until the very last page . It was also funny and sad. I’m curious about the ending but also if it’s never to be it ended in way I’m okay with . Don’t forget tip number four(lol)
- I feel like anything I write would ruin the experience for you. This is a new feminist dystopia for teenage girls. A great read with many twists and horrifying revelations.
- This was a great book. But the line in the description that says it's a combination of Westworld and Handmaid's Tale gives away waaay toooo much. I wish I hadn't read that because it spoiled a major plot twist for me. Now when does the next book in this series come out?
- Interesting concepts and a surprise twist. The story kept me interested to the end.

- I just passed my ASP exam, and this book was the best study resource I used. Covers all the topics on the exam, and the practice test at the end resembles what the actual is exam is like. Some other study guides I used included the flash cards by Mometrix, the BCSP self-assessment test, and the ASP Pocket Prep app (I purchased the full version). Out off all these sources this book was definitely the best. The flashcards had a lot of good information, and was very similar to the content of the book. My knock on the flashcards were they had extremely long explanations, and did not really function as quick and easily summarized flash cards. The ASP Pocket Prep App was somewhere around $22-25 and had 400 practices questions that were very close to what you see on the test, and gives you good explanations on the question's correct answers. The BCSP self-assessment is not a bad tool but it is the same 100 questions, and does not give in-depth explanations on any of the answers. I wasn't extremely confident when purchasing the exam so I went with the exam bundle package, that includes 2 test attempts and the self assessment. If you do not purchase that bundle I would definitely recommend the Pocket Prep App over the BCSP online assessment.
I did not attend any prep courses before the exam, and my professional experience is just over 2 years and has mostly focused in environmental regulations. My undergrad was in OHS, but it has also been about 3 yrs since I have complete that. I am currently in my first class for a MS in OSH/Envr Mng and what I have learned from that course has definitely help in preparing for the ASP. As far as studying directly for the ASP I probably spent 50ish hours in the week leading up to my exam, and it is probably not something I would recommend. For future certifications I will definitely give myself a month to prep to help reduce stress/anxiety heading into the exam.
Hope this was helpful! - I haven't taken the test yet but as far as content, layout and organization, I give both the book and the flash cards a 4 out of 5. If I pass my test, I will update rating to a 5! I appreciate the section separations and obvious amounts of editing that has gone into the content (I've purchased study guides in the past that have atrocious grammar and were obviously not proof read).
What would make this system a 5 out of 5 for me would be the following
1- make the flash cards less wordy; bullet points or 1-2 sentences are easier to commit to memory than full paragraphs
2- add a "formula sheet" to the book; maybe a tear out page.
3- move the math section towards the middle or back. Having it as the first part of this book emphasizes its importance but COMPLETELY freaks me out and I put the book down many times over the last few months because I couldn't face the math. I ended up skipping it and coming back to it.
4- add a "blank answer sheet" that we can use while we take the practice test. It can be a single one pager with just a line next to numbers (ie 1. __ 2. __ 3. __). We can photo copy and take test multiple times. This would cost nothing but add a lot of value - If you have the gift of test taking this might be a good study guide for you. This review is for the people that are not gifted test takers. The book is not comprehensive enough for the ASP exam. I used this book and the Yates study guide. The information between the two books did not fully cover the information on the ASP exam. Both books have good information but the exam is taken from a variety of sources. I did not pass the exam using them as a study guide. I would suggest some one that is looking for a comprehensive study guide use the SPAN ASP prep.
- Both exam prep study guides were excellent resources to prepare for the ASP and CSP exams with the broad spectrum of topics that matched up fairly well to the exam questions. The practice test was very helpful with mixing the question subject areas randomly just like the exam. In addition, the answers section went beyond just providing the answer to the questions; it explained how to get to the correct answer. The one area for improvement on both guides is that the explanations of how to get to the answers provided in the answers section would have been helpful to provide during the various math sections prior to the practice test as examples. This would have eliminated some flipping back and forth in the guide to verify your knowledge as you are studying.
- I really enjoyed reading the book. I bought Safety and Health for Engineers and I studied both books at the same time with same topics. ASP book is summery of 720 pages and really straightforward. I recommend this to anybody that preparing for the ASP.
- The reason I chose this product was due to the numerous high ratings these products have received from other consumers on . So far it appears to be very detailed and provides a significant amount of valuable information as well as the necessary explanation of the correct answers to the test questions.

- I relied mostly on this book while preparing for the ASP. I passed the test on the first try, so that tells you that this book is a good reference. I gave it 4 stars because most of the calculations that were on the ASP did not appear in this book. The book does cover stats, probability and discount factors, but the safety and science concepts were rarely presented in a math problem context. So I was a little surprised when I took the ASP, and it had a good number of problems requiring calculations. This wasn't a problem for me, as I have an engineering degree, but other test takers may need an additional reference. My professional experience has been 90% radiation work (only 2 radiation questions on the test), so I had to learn 99% of the ASP topics from this book. I used some online searches to get more in depth explanations when needed. I would definitely recommend this book to other test takers. I believe it saved me TONS of time!
