  A Furious Muse follows in the Golden Key Series, this one with Princess Faedrah. She is much like her mother, in her sass and quick temper. Faedrah jumps to present day time where she meets Oliver, and Jon who have been waiting some time for her to appear. She also meets Rhys. The tempermental sexy artist who has seen her in his mind ever since he can remember. Having to decide to go with her heart and love him, or run away and find how he is connected to her nightmare visions. This was so much fun meeting the King and Queen's daughter. I found myself laughing at how much she reminded me of Rowena. 4.5/5
  
  Book 2
  UGH! This book ends in a horrible cliffy! I so didn't see that coming. Ryhs and Faedrah find themselves in mystery, intrigue, humor and of course some sexy romance. I can't even begin to tell yo how much I love her! Rhys, best not be breaking her heart, as she will want to kill him herself.
  I have never been so glad to be behind on a series so I could immediately go and open the next installment in this series.
  
  Book 3
  It's Rhys's turn to now travel back in time to Faedrah's homeland. All I can say about this is The title threw me off a bit. Knowing the evil they must face, made me assume it was an evil wizard. I can't say too much without giving hints away. Just know this has every bit of intrigue, wit, and face pace as the ones previous to it. Love!!! 5/5

  Oh the sadness of this being the final installment in this series... Take a moment and just reflect the wild ride it has taken us on. I love that even using all the time travel back and forth between the mirror, it still made sense. That made it all more 'real' to me. Again, no spoilers this girl, just know if you thought the evil wizard was bad in The Golden Key Chronicles... you haven't seen nothing yet! kudos on another great read! I do hope we will see some of these characters again in a future series. 5/5 Cross posting to My Reading Reality .
• Loads of action, drama and humor. Wording is obvious from the way Faedrah speaks to the modern way Rhys McEleod speaks. One is from the future the other isn’t. Crossing the veil is the only way Princess Faedrah Isador Austiere can save her kingdom. Trained since she was young to be a part of the royal guard as well as being the next ruling queen, Faedrah didn’t expect to be an artist’s muse. Falling in love wasn’t in the cards either. But she was entranced with paintings of her, Faedrah knew he was her heart. Same for Rhys. One look and his heart belonged to her. Only he didn’t just create magic with his art, he was able to create kinetic magic with other resources. However as these two attempt to solve the problem of the Black Infestation in Faedrah’s kingdom, there arises another problem with Rhys’s dad, Leo. Leo isn’t what he appears to be. Very intriguing with a HEA.
• Seriously loved this series. A modern day fairy tale for grown ups, I got lost in the language and world building, surpassed only by the steamy romance.

• Legacy picks up with Princess Faedrah, the daughter of Rowena and Prince Caedmon of The Golden Key Chronicles. That was a nice surprise for me. I don't think I've laughed so much before the halfway point of a book in a long time. Poor Rhys needs to lighten up and find himself, and I think he did that exceptionally well along the way. You can almost touch his growth, he's so real and tangible. Faedrah is a hoot trying to find a place for her between her world and the exciting future. She seems to have a knack for getting into trouble that made me laugh.
  
  You have to read these books and the first, The Golden Key Chronicles! AJ deserves an award! I laughed (a lot) and hated putting my tablet down, even between books. No, these aren't comedy, but AJ knows how to infuse just the right amount at the perfect time, to keep the moods flowing from scene to scene. The first time I read a book by her, I knew I'd found an auto-buy author, and I was right.
• Faedrah Austiere is the princess of the Austiere kingdom. She is only the second female to train as an elite guard. Lately She has been having nightmares. When she finds out it's her parents old enemy the Black Wizard, she is determined to go into the future to destroy him. Rhys McEleod is an artist in present day Chicago. For the past 20 years he has been painting the same beautiful face that has been haunting his dreams. When he walks into his manager's asu studio, he can't believe his eyes when she's standing in front of him...until she attacks him.
  I really liked this book. I loved how the author was able to infuse Faedrah into Rhys’s world and then when Rhys had to go to hers. It was done very well. The book moved very fast and yet for some reason it did take me a bit to finish. I almost think it would've been better in the separate parts the way the author intended, which normally gets on my nerves. I really loved Rhys and Faedrah and highly recommend.

• My kids (6 and 4) were very excited for this book to come in the mail. I love the brightly colored pages and the simple and clear illustrations. I have to disagree with the reviewer who said kids would not be interested in the level of the material. While my kids may not be able to grasp "a trillion" for example, they listened and absorbed what they could. This is something I see us revisiting a number of times as they grow. I like the activity ideas that are simple enough for them to do on their own or with a little help. This is a paper back book, buy the pages have a good feel to them and they are a bit thicker and sturdier than typical paper. In other words, I feel like this book will hold up pretty well to a couple of kids using it.
• I follow the authors blog and website and was excited to hear she put out a book about the body, it is one of the science topics in my curriculum that I have a more difficult time finding age appropriate lessons for. I found the book to be engaging and full of facts. I think as an older child it would be a wonderful activity book. I will use it with my younger age classes as a reference for me to communicate facts in an easy to understand way. Each lesson can easily be followed by the teacher to guide the younger students in the lessons. Yes some of the vocabulary is a bit advanced, but I have found that when I introduce a word and we talk about it in class, it is amazing what these young minds remember! Great book! I bought the book myself on the strength of the authors website and past works and am very happy with it.
• The book is very colorful and informative. I literally learned a new fact while skimming through the book. I can’t wait to show my children and watch them learn.
• This book is great for teaching young children about their body. It is an informative and interactive book. There is a lot of fun and interesting facts that is not known about our incredible bodies. This can be easily read to children or young children can read it to themselves.
• First thing I appreciate about this book is that it's not too much. I feel confident using this book as one of our summer studies. I am glad extra printables were made available.

• I was startled to see that Katie Stokes got her PhD in child development from Stanford. It's quite a highly regarded school. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Unfortunately this book suffers from a severe lack of focus. The information is written at one level… the activities are written at another level far below the first.
  
  For example, if I were young enough to want to do a 22 dot straight-line “connect the dots” activity of an ice cream cone (an activity for Taste), I would be way too young to comprehend the number in “You were born with about 10,000 taste buds in your mouth.”
  
  If I’m young enough that the simplistic maze activity is interesting to me, I’m therefore way too young to understand the directions to that very same maze “Help the oxygen O2 get to the alveoli in the lungs.”
  
  This book skips unevenly from worksheets like “circle your favorite flavor below” and “draw a picture of something you touch at home" to academic concepts like “Your brain is just 2 percent of your body weight. However it uses around 20 percent of your energy.”
  
  And a child young enough for these very easy coloring pages will be scared to death by facts like “By the time you finish reading this sentence, 50,000 cells in your body will die and new cells will take their place.”
  
  I can think of no one who is the right age for this book. A child who would like the facts would hate the activities; a child who would like the activities would hate the facts. And I find it bit creepy that all of the human body drawings are the physical proportions of a young child, with its oversize head. A child who still has those proportions has absolutely no business sitting at a table doing worksheets.
  
  It is a complete misnomer when it says these are hands-on activities. This is a book of worksheets, and likely one which some well-meaning adult person will think is cute and "educational," foisting it upon children who are too young for it.
• Whilst a kindergartener will most likely just look through this book at all the colorful pages, a second to third grader should be capable of doing the activities and reading all the details. Whilst a lot of information is presented in this book, it is done in an easy-to-understand way and interesting. There are lots of fun facts (Top 5 in each section) that kids will likely absorb and remember. There are also a plethora of "Try This at Home" experiments.
  
  This activity book is VERY colorful. The diagrams are very clearly labelled. Activities (mazes, word searches, coloring etc.) are easy to understand with ample space left for completion if applicable. At the end you will find resources and an index. There are NO gender specifics (private parts) mentioned or shown in this body book so very suitable for young children. Yes, some of the diagrams are of boys and girls but no individual parts are shown. This book is about muscles, bones, blood, heart, eyes and so much more.
  
  HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. Our 9 year old LOVED it, completed it in a week and learned a LOT! It is one, that once completed, can be kept as a resource and for refreshing memories. Yes, I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher but that has not influenced my review. Thanks, Liz

• This book with packed with useful information and insider tips - definitely a must-have companion if you're planning a trip to the Bahamas. "I read this book towards the end of my maternity leave as I was facing going back to work after my second child was born and was wondering how I was going to go back to work and wondering how I was going to balance my roles as mother-of-two, wife, and teacher. Even prior to getting married and having children, I let my teacher life consume me, and since having a family, I've found myself constantly ridden with guilt for "not doing enough" for my students and for my family. Reading this book and doing the exercises has really helped to start letting go of some of that guilt (it's a work in progress). The exercises have really allowed me to look at my priorities and examine what kind of legacy I want to leave. Angela really helps you let go of the notion that you have "do it all", opens your eyes to valuing your time the way you value your money, and makes you examine to whom you are truly irreplaceable. Although much of the book references issues specific to education, I would recommend this book to anyone struggling to balance their personal lives with their work lives, and those struggling to make time for the things that truly matter."

• I have followed Angela Watson for the past few years and completed the 40 Hour Teacher Work Week course. I was interested in this book because it describes and explains the philosophy behind the messages teachers receive from her podcasts and recommended work modifications. Despite being familiar with Angela’s coaching, I found a great deal of new material in this book and so many things she had to say rang so true, I had a hard time putting it down when necessary.
  
  Another reviewer mentioned Angela’s discussion of being subversive in terms of certain duties not directly related to teaching. I have always done exactly what the author describes—assumed that top-down policies have been carefully considered, as opposed to simply being ideas about how to achieve a certain end—and probably negotiable ideas. I loved this segment and it has already changed my behavior at work.
  
  The greatest thing in this book, however, is probably the straightforward talk about the idea that teachers are tasked with saving students. She addresses the idea with compassion as well as realism. If you are a teacher or have one in your life, or anyone wanting to know more about what teachers do, this is the book to read. Not every teacher will need every single piece, but there are more than enough that hit home. We often say if we can get just one really valuable thing—a practice, a strategy, a piece of knowledge to inform instruction--out of a PD, it will have been worth it. This is worth it.
• I have not even finished this book despite receiving an advance copy. Why? It is too good to rush. Angela offers the most sound advice for finding peace of mind as an educator.
  
  I am a elementary, classroom teacher with two young children of my own. I am a serious workaholic both as a teacher and a mother.
  
  In this book, Angela Watson offers amazing advice and real strategies to move closer to a work-life balance. Chapter 3 was life-changing in how I view my Sunday lesson planning.
  
  This one is a must-buy and then savor. Soak up Angela’s wisdom and come to love teaching again. I bought my copy (in addition to my free advanced copy) because I need to read Angela’s words today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my career.
• I will start by saying I’m a big fan of Angela and her work. I listen to her weekly podcast and I am a member of the 40 hour teacher workweek. I’m disappointed by this book because she continually advertised it as “not the same as the program or podcast”. As I was reading, I was looking for new ideas or suggestions but some of it is just word for word from her podcasts. There are whole chapters where I was thinking “haven’t I heard this before?” There are entire passages that I think she has read verbatim on her podcast. I think if you are an avid follower of her show or program there isn’t much more this book can offer for you.
  
  All of that being said, this is probably a really important read for a new teacher, a frustrated teacher, and teachers that have never heard of her show or program.
• This is by far one of the best books I have read. While reading this book, I felt as if Angela was directly speaking to me. Everything that Angela refers to ("project manager syndrome," 'sacred cow," "what ifs," "superhero syndrome"...) I have found myself feeling at some point in my 27 year career as a teacher. After finishing the book, I couldn't wait to go back to school and tell my colleagues about what I read. This would be a fantastic selection for a staff book study. I am so happy that I purchased this book because as I continue on this journey as a teacher, it will be a resource I will reference when I feel myself getting frustrated by the everyday demands of this profession. Thank you Angela for this amazing book. In addition to helping me create a healthier mind-set, your book re-energized and empowered me to embrace the challenges we encounter everyday as teachers.

• YES, YES, YES, YES, YES! I am in my 21st year of teaching and have always struggled with home school balance. In this book, Angela Watson gives you practical strategies to help guide you to reflect on your personal and professional priorities while NOT feeling guilty about it! I have recommended this book to all of my teacher friends. I only wish I had this book years ago!
